Kelsey Higginbotham - 2011 Casal Aveda Graduate and Master Stylist
Achieving both a Bachelor's in English at Kent State University and Advanced Cosmetology at Casal Aveda Institute, Kelsey Higginbotham believes that education, passion, and hard work are the driving forces to success.
Always learning and evolving, Kelsey not only works with top artists in the industry, but sees each of her clients as a celebrity, striving to create unique looks with custom coloring and cutting.
We caught up with Kelsey to find out more about her inspiring career:
As a Wella Master Color Expert, would you say coloring is your main service?
I started out strictly cutting hair, but being the control freak I am, I needed my hands in color, too. I am also now Cut Craft Certified with Wella and a Wella Brand Educator. I can't get enough education. When I do something, I do it all the way!
Why do you love what you do?
Wow... It's hard to put into words. It's a calling, and I truly believe I was born to be in this industry.
How did your Aveda experience impact where you are now?
Education... My Aveda training was top of the line. It really set me up for success!
Do you have any advice for aspiring artists?
Hard work is what it takes, so never stop chasing your goals. Also, never underestimate the power of networking!
