Amanda Kay DiMuzio - 2014 Casal Aveda Graduate, Pravana Artistic Educator, Master Colorist, and Stylist
After bringing her talents to the bridal industry, Amanda Kay DiMuzio found her place at Roots Salon and Wellness Spa at their opening last year.
When she's not creating magic behind the chair, she's fulfilling big dreams as an Artistic Educator for Pravana, beautifying babes for Sheer Photography, and even dabbling as a stunning model herself!
We caught up with Amanda to find out more about her career and how she achieved it all:
Why do you love what you do?
I love being behind the chair and making women feel better about themselves, and it's the same thing with Sheer: I get to give women the confidence to go out there and do what they want to do. I've also wanted to be a color educator since I was in school, to inspire people how other stylists have inspired me.
How did your Aveda experience impact where you are now?
I don't think I would be where I am with color without learning from Aveda first and having the educators I had. I learned a ton there, and I also made a lot of friends who I still talk to and work with today!
Do you have any advice for aspiring artists?
Never give up, never stop learning, and don't be afraid to go out there and do what you want to do. I took a chance when I applied to be an artistic educator, and even though I was terrified, I succeeded. There's a lot more you can do in this field than just being behind the chair! If you are passionate and work super hard, it's going to pay off in the long run. Trust the process, trust your abilities, pay attention, and listen to your clients.
